There is no question the entire production, distribution and exhibition side of the sector is undergoing somewhat of a technological revolution that is placing powerful tools at the fingertips of practitioners from all layers.

For exhibitors, the full presentation control over the auditorium experience can be controlled by a mobile phone while watching the footy. For distributors, it is of course streaming and file management and for screen artists, it this whole convergence thing that integrates a myriad of real-time effects software, production design visualisations in VR, new studio technology such as LED screens and the word on everybody’s lips - AI.
