Wholly Communion

On 11 June 1965, the Royal Albert Hall played host to a slew of American and European beat poets for an extraordinary counterculture event. It was billed as an 'International Poetry Incarnation", with the world’s leading Beat poets together in one setting for an evening of revelry. Director Peter Whitehead captured this defining night on his borrowed camera, launching his career in the process.
