Silver Halide
A short documentary that takes viewers on an immersive journey through the eyes of a film photographer.
Following three Perth-based experimental photographers, Tim, Nat and Ashlee, the film explores the malleable and magical nature of film photography. We follow their past with film, how it influences their life and art, and uncover the mysterious allure of the analog. The process from exposure to developing reveals the nature of film and how it relates to each of the artists, creating a picture of these different people linked by this old, nostalgic process.
Screenplay by Jhaz Bullen-Williams.
