Awards Ceremony & After Party

You better believe our 40th festival is going out with a bang.

Help us celebrate four decades of the fest with our free awards ceremony and closing night party! It’ll be a little controversial, a little playful, a little rude and a lot congratulatory to everyone who entered a film or came along to see one.

This huge year we’ve set new records for number of films we've screened and received. And our judges have done a superb job whittling this stack of incredible cinema down to our awards finalists across 17 categories. Some of these lucky winners will even be eligible for Oscar® consideration - but each and every one is an incredible example of Australian filmmaking. So make sure you’re there to give them the celebration they deserve.
