The Art of the Narrative
The life of a film typically commences many years before it reaches events like the St Kilda Film Festival - or even your family’s lounge-room wall. Those with experience know it can be a process of endless drafts and edits, feedback from person and their dog…and then there’s what happens in pre-production or on set when your baby is in the hands of a director or editor.
This session features a screening of several short films from this year’s program that take the craft of writing to the next level and signpost writers who are prepared to make a statement, take a risk and push directors, producers, and performers all the way.
Hear from the writers of some of these works as you and they get down to the nitty gritty of their craft.
Presented by the Australian Writer’s Guild
