Join David Batty as he reflects on 35 years of filmmaking in remote Aboriginal Australia. View rarely-screened gems from his vast archive of work interspersed with personal anecdotes in this interactive screening moderated by Batty’s close friend, writer Jim Buckell.

After kick-starting his career in Alice Springs in the 1980s, David was instrumental in establishing the first television production unit at the Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association. He continued to make films with and for Aboriginal people for the next four decades, culminating in his latest production Black As which has reached more than 100 million viewers.
